STAINED GLASS & GLASS FUSING WORKSHOPS
+ PRIVATE COMMISSIONS
I am a professional stained glass artist. Initially, I worked in traditional stained glass - commissioned to create new designs and also stained glass restoration work.
As I love everything about art & glass, I branched out into glass fusion. This is basically fusing glass together in a special kiln, which can create some really beautiful pieces of art. I am currently accepting commissions for fused glass art.
Using this technique, I’ve been producing a wide range of pieces from bowls, wall-art, room dividers, decorations to commissions for large splash backs for kitchens. My work is sold in galleries around Scotland.
FUSED GLASS WORKSHOPS
Glass fusing is simply the process of stacking two more layers of compatible glass together to make a design. The stacked glass is placed in the super heated environment of a kiln, where it melts together. This technique can be used to produce a variety of objects & the design is only limited by your imagination.
Workshops are of varying lengths, but all are suitable for total beginners. I try to ensure lessons are always fun & relaxed, but that you still end the course with a new skill and a piece of art that you can be proud of. We cover all of the basics, which include: creating designs, glass cutting, building the design etc.
The glass fusing classes all take place in my working studio, which is 20 - 30 mins from Glasgow, in Dumbarton. There’s a maximum of 10 people in the workshop, which means that it’s easy to have 1-2-1 time with everyone taking part.
STAINED GLASS WORKSHOPS
In the stained glass classes, we cover all of the basics, including: designs, glass cutting, glass painting, lead-work, soldering, cementing, brushing & polishing glass.
In a fun and relaxed environment you will get to design and create your own stained glass panel to take home.
